How you know you are old...

I'd want the one that shoots the best...

I shot the walnut one on Saturday and had .35-.55 3 shot groups with a 50gr vmax for most of my test loads. For kicks, shot a couple rounds of 13gr of blue dot with the 50vmax . With the suppressor, that load is about half as loud as a 22lr rifle, recoil like a hornet, and surprisingly accurate. Those blue dot loads will be great for my grandkids first centerfire range session.

When you talk to your family about music, and none of them under 40 know who the Beatles were...

My daughter is under 40. She may know who the Beatles are....... But she knows who Deep Purple, Narareth, Ted Nugent, Black Sabath, Motley Crew, and many others of the harder perseasion are. She also cares more about the gun fit and accuracy than looks......

For many years, my sons have been calling me an Ornery Old Fart. Now they’re both older than I was, when they started it. I’m still not old though, I just turned 62 and oldest son turned 38. He likes Eric Burden and the Animals along with punk rock.

My Dad left us when he was 87. My Brother (Now 70) and I (Now 67) at a certain point started asking Him how it felt to be old. His reply was predictable, "I'll let you know when I get there".

Then at somewhere between 75 & 80 He told me how He Knew He was finally Old. I will never forget what He said. His words of wisdom were: " I know I am old because it takes Me all night to do what I used to be able to do all night" (I SURE do miss that MAN)

I like walnut. Daddy cut this walnut tree down when I was 12. The grip was made from it only a few years ago After Daddy left us. Guess that is why this is my favorite Contender.

My 22yr old likes blued and wood I prefer stainless and fiberglass or maybe laminate for hunting rifle anyway...

The upper rifle with the natural look wood stock but add the detachable magazine from the bottom gun to the upper gun, leave the can on the upper rifle.
