How to Understand Accuracy Results

I shot alot of indoor archery in the day that would be an interesting contest vs a pistol. The x ring is 1 1/2 inches at 20yds. for the archery.
We use to tack shoot at 20yards.
Everyone antie up a buck, farthest shot out sits out. Pot progresses until winner is last man standing.
If you wanted to be in contention ya had damn well better be able to hit a dime @ 20 yards. Fun times!!

.....At 300 yds I think the advantage may now be with an LR BR rig over a SR BR rig. It would be a fun match to find out!

That's what the Tack Driver match was/is for?

I thought Fred's idea was to get more shooters to work into LR BR?

If I remember correctly both us and the archery shooters shot the normal 20 yd indoor archery target at both distances 25 and 50 yd. Now, this group of offhand shooters had a lot of experience. Several of us had high finishes in national level competition in the off hand position. We traveled to any offhand shoot we could find and shut a lot of them down. The local matches we had required shooting inside a dime at 100yds to win. We often heard, we never saw fellows shoot like you guys. My claim to fame was beating a fellow who had been the alternate small bore shooter at the previous Olympics and breaking his club record. Hey shoot enough and some days you do it all right, lol. The rest of our group quit shooting when the offhand matches went away.....I found bench rest. Something us old guys can be competitive in.
