How to store rifle barrel blanks?

Getting a nice collection of barrel blanks. And some made ready. What is the best way to store them, vertical or horizontal? I have been storing them in both upright and horizontal. If anyone knows and why?
share.

I can’t imagine that any orientation alone would cause them to bend beyond their elastic limit. Perhaps someone knows something different.
On the other hand, no common barrel steel is particularly corrosion resistant, so that’s something to keep in mind as far as storage goes.

Living in Arizona ; with our low humidity content mostly year around , I have just a few Barrel Blanks , and store them on the floor horizontally , with a layer of cardboard under the Tube boxes . They are ; of course , still in their plastic X-pander wraps . Haven't had any issues for over two years of storage that way . I do check them for Run-out before having them done by the G/S .

I couldn’t help the post above, the humorous side of me comes out every once in awhile.
Mine are stored vertically in a climate controlled safe/vault for no other reason than that is where they fit better.
If there is a better way I would also like to know why.

About 50 yrs ago , at Cummins, we were instructed to store canshafts and crankshafts vertically, as they can warp when stored flat, that lesson stuck with me, store stuff that has to stay straight vertically. Doubt if anything has changed on that, steel is steel.

That reminds me of the time I was at the State Fair and a woman was selling magnetic bracelets - she said that the magnetic properties of the bracelet caused the red blood cells to get in single file order to get through the blood vessels better!
Don’t wear the bracelet if you take an iron supplement. The blood will pool in your wrist and cause bruising.
