Show me your barrel racks?

Looking for ideas to build a barrel rack; I'm getting a decent sized collection of new, used, chambered, etc and the little piles of them everywhere have got to go. Let's see how you store 50 barrels.

Oh ok 50 barrels, didn't see that part. Mine holds about 500ish.

Rack on wheels. Spacing was set for 2 inch shank test barrels, holds 65 as shown not counting the ones piled on top. Gets very heavy when full. I used steel wheels.

I maintain an inventory and need to quickly find and retrieve a specific barrel easily. Verticle and spaced apart is the only way to do that imo.

Here's what I made. I don't carry a massive inventory at any given time so it's worked perfect for my needs. I chose horizontal to start and went that way for a long time but have switched to vertical simply to make the ends of the barrels easier to read and access. Plus I make and sell the tenon and tuner caps so I I'm not worried about them resting muzzle on the floor My garage is climate controlled and the floor is coated but if I was really worried about any kind of temp or condensation issue I could always throw a 2x4 under the muzzles.

FWIW, I don't think vert or horz makes a difference on the actual barrel.

I don't have a pic but 1" Sq tubing on the corners. 3/8 steel rod. Drill holes where you want support. Two rods on each side then the cross/shelf rods any where you want them . Spot weld on the outside.

I did toe tags for a little while, kinda a PITA. I have a general idea whats what, just pull it out a couple inches and read the markings is just about as easy. Made the metal frame, layer of pvc, put a layer of cement, repeat until done. Plywood on the back to keep them from messing up the drywall

This is great. I was thinking this morning about starting a thread asking about barrel rack ideas.

I want provision for maybe 10 barrels. I am sure I will end up with a few more than I have now.

Optimum would be a rack I could mount to the wall, one barrel deep and 10 barrels high with provision to add more.
