Has your barrel tuner changed horizontal dispersion?

Ergonsdad,
Couldn't find the pictures on page 6. Would it be possible for you to provide a link to the pictures?
i have a few questions of a theoretical nature after reading your article and wonder if I could PM them to you.
The PS article is very good reading, thanks to everyone who had a hand in publishing it.

I have just read through this thread and am becoming interested in trying a tuner on one of my rifles. It would either be on a remington varmint contour in 243ai or an hv contour in 7 Dakota. Which model tuner would you guys recommend? Also, thank you all for posting such good information based on actual tests and not heresay or theories.

Until someone with more experience comes along I will go out on a limb and say that any tuner will do. it depends on the style and weight that interests you. The common denominator of all tuners seems to be that it takes very little adjustment to find a tune and that there are many points of tune on most tuners. Considering that tuners also come in many weights and styles it seems like just about anything will work as long as it is adjustable and solidly attached to the barrel.

Have already been to Bostrom's website many times. Couldn't find any pictures on any page 6 that showed how groups go from one shape to another. A link to the pictures would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the confusion. I should have checked Eric's site to give better instructions. Go to www.bostromgunsmithing.com. Click on "services". Then click on "Improved Rifle Accuracy Study". Then click on "Tuner Setup" This will get you to all the data that is currently available. There is another article at PS waiting publication. It will be on Eric's site after it is published. Work is underway on a number of other applications including a 6PPC BR system and a system on a 10/22.

I can be contacted at ergonsdad@aol.com. I will be happy to try and answer an questions. We have fired thousands of rounds at targets and varmints getting the data.

Remember any rifle will shoot better with a tuner system. The type and style of the tuner system will depend on the type of rifle and it's barrel diameter.

For anyone who wants to see tuner systems in action they should attend the Second Annual Florida State 1,000 yard Gong Championship at the Manatee Gun Club on October 6&7. Eric has a link on the first page of his web site. For 1,000 yard shooters it is a great chance to win some great prizes. Check it out.

The Manatee Gun Club has a 1,000 yard range that holds twice a month 1,000 yard match's. Recently the rifles with the RAS tuner system have dominated these matches.

Erick now has a direct link to the Tuner Set up instructions on the front page of his site.

The best place to contact me about tuners is at www.PrecisionTuners@AOL.com.

Shoot well and shoot often.

Jim
