I hope I'm posting this in the right section. I have two Anschutz 54 rifles that have the front sight base held on by two screws each. They are on the swell on the very end of the barrel. I would like to remove them in preparation for mounting a tuner. The screws must be lock-tited because they will not budge. I don't want to mess up the screw heads or snap the screws off trying to get them loose. Does anyone have any idea's of a way to soften the lock-tite (?) and get the screws out? Is there any kind of liquid that can be placed on the screw head that will migrate to the threads and loosen them? I'm assuming it's lock-tite but I guess it could be something else that I'm not familiar with.
Thanks for your help!
