Anschutz Achiever sights?

I am coaching 4-H shooters in southern Colorado and recently bought an Anschutz Achiever for the kids to shoot. It came with a scope, no sights, and I'm trying to find target sights for it. Does anyone know of a source?

I've contacted Williams and got a combination of sights & mounts that require drilling & tapping for both front and rear. It seems the original sight that used to come on these rifles (Lyman-Anschutz 6802?) are long discontinued. The front sight grooves are narrower than the standard, so a front globe sight requires an adapter/riser block if I can't find one that fits the Achiever.

Any suggestions on sights and sources would be appreciated!

Champions choice or any of the other vendors will have something that will work. The rear sight dovetails on most of the high end rifles are close enough to the same that rear sights and risers are considered interchangeable between brands. You will have to find a front sight that fits an anschutz. Anschutz is different than Fwb and walther. You should probably check out the target talk forum. They have a buy/sell/trade section. You will find what you want there way cheaper than new prices. Don’t be afraid to ask questions, most people on the forum have been through the same learning curve that you are going through.

I'm going to bump this existing thread....

I'm also in need of sights for an Achiever. The front sight dovetail is smaller than the standard 11mm. Champion Shooters and Anschutz recommended the same sight set that was the wrong one. I'm coming up with nothing for a set of used sights or any kind of adapter. Does anyone have some information that could point me in the right direction? At this point, the only thing that might work for me is some kind of bloop tube or sight extension tube, but I'm having a hard time finding one of those in 20mm.

*I've posted this at Rimfire Central also*

Thanks!

Would a raiser block work: odd Acheiver dovetail underneath and 11mm at the top? Do you know any 3D printers?

I thought about that, but I can't find any information as to the specs of the existing dovetail.

I have a Bridgeport, so I've thought about making my own barrel clamp setup. My ideas is to remove the round cylinder from the sight and mount that directly to the clamp, but I need to do some measuring to see if I can get it low enough to match the rear. My issue is I'm short on time lately, and I don't want this to drag on. I'm considering selling the Achiever and buying her a 1761 Match Start. I have a 64 MPR I could also sell to help offset the cost of the new rifle.

Often bloop tube makers will custom bore the mount to fit your barrel od. Bloop tubes are usually more than $100 and it's a more inexpensive annie ...Since you said your OD is 20mm (.787), this plus an appropriate sized split bushing probably gets you there cheaper:

You have a Bridgeport, if you dont have a lathe just bore some aluminum round, .875 diameter to the appropriate ID with your boring head /drills/ reamer (whatever is handy and cheap to match you barrel od) then use your slitting saw or a hacksaw to make it a "split bushing" then clamp on a front sight....

As a follow up, I ended up selling the rifle. I contacted Anschutz North America and Anschutz Germany and unfortunately neither had any information that would lead to a front sight.
