Quite the contrary…..I begged you to send me some bullets to compete with and I’d collect the data for you. You repeatedly told me you were not going to give away the bullets, even if you got some great data in return. Ultimately, I had to BUY the bullets from your site, and another user also was kind enough to purchase some bullets and mail them to me. I’m in no rush to test these bullets as both my girlfriend and I are preparing to compete in Nationals in August. I plan to test these bullets after Nationals.
Dr. John, for you to say that you tried to get a competition shooter to shoot your new bullets and “no one wanted to risk the time and effort with an unknown bullet”, just simply isn’t true. I hate to call you out, but on a form like this, but a person is only as good as his word, and I feel you are losing a ton of credibility by stating untruths like you did above.
Lastly, I will ask ANY member on this forum to identify themselves as a competitive shooter that was contacted directly by Dr. John to shoot his new bullet design? And I’ll be counting the total number that were offered any free bullets to test in exchange for data. My bet is you didn’t ask a single shooter to shoot your bullets, and that rather, each and every person contacted YOU, offering to shoot your bullets up against a known good bullet……and that you turned down each and every one of those offers.
Dr. John, when someone (especially, a competitive F class shooter, and mechanical engineer with over 30+ years of experience designing experiments) offers to test your product; I’d think you’d be a tad more appreciative.
I wish you the best if you decide to compete in F class, and I implore you let the entire site know when and where it will be held, because I certainly know many would love to see it live.
Best regards and stay tuned in late August for test results on your bullets. Unfortunately, based on the limited number of bullets I purchased and received, I will not be conducting any long range testing. However, the bullets will have to group exceptionally well at 100/200 yards, otherwise any improvements in external ballistics will be completely meaningless.
