I often wonder why people so much anger in there hearts.

Anyways thank you for the work you do. I sure do appreciate this forum and the help from everyone here.

If I were in your place I would have done the same with that party. No one should or needs to put up with such immature and childish talk, emails or conduct.

This is a great forum and you do a great job. Not super picky like some other forums.
I can guarantee people like him don't like his wife, his dentist, his accountant, etc.
Just learn to not let people like that get under your skin. Use people like that to measure
your personal growth. Remember life is to short to drink cheap whiskey or argue with fools.

I'd be happy to upgrade from silver to gold for to offset the $$ you sent back.
But I don't see an option there to do that. Its $50 instead of $25, for the upgrade.

Not necessary to explain to us, just do it. One thing though, you shouldn't have refunded his money. He doesn't deserve a refund. Something I said before and I'll say it again. People shouldn't be allowed to "run a business" through this forum. It's ok to sell personal items etc, but setting up a business should not be allowed. Just my opinion.

Patton243 is history.

He had sold dozens of items on the Forum, profiting considerably.

Now he is gone... and good riddance.

He was banned because:

1. He exchanged threatening insults and "fighting words" with another member, and was given a one-week time-out. (See text below)

2. In response to what I believe was a very reasonable and even-handed temporary time-out, Patton243 responded with insults directed at the Site owner, showing disrespect for the job I do.

Patton 243 Quote: "Like I needed a screenshot on what I said. Thanks captain obvious. Have a nice day forum dictator."

Folks -- I don't need this kind of response and I won't tolerate it. I work 3000+ hours a year on this site. And I have to deal with this kind of nonsense while working on the site during the Christmas holiday.

I want to add one thing. We are very close to 50,000 members. Given that number ... I do not have time to deal with bad apples. You will see more members banned immediately and permanently in the future if their posts are hostile, rude, insulting or aggressive. And you will see the trolls being tossed from the site too.

There was a hostile exchange between the two of you. Both sides exchanged unacceptable insults and the exchange devolved into fighting words.

Both parties are at fault. There is no point to discuss the levels of fault although it appears the first stone was cast by Patton243. Both parties showed hostility and poor judgment. Both parties will loose their Forum privileges for one week.

I own and moderate a bb myself. There are thousands of people you want, drop the ban hammer on the ones you don’t. Make the rules clear and enforce them and nobody gets surprised. On one count he was right, this aint a democracy; this is your house, you Clean it as needed. Not that it matters but I totally agree That one needed to go.
