How solid are Inline Fabrication Quick Detach mounts?

I am contemplating adding a Redding T-7 to the bench.

I like stuff mounted very rigidly. No wobble. I will be going with an Inline Fab base.

Do the QD units wobble? Is there play?

I probably will never utilize the QD feature, but never say never. If the QD units don't rock, I might as well give myself the option.

Your thoughts?
Thanks for your input.

Using a T-7 on a IL QD 9" this morning FL sizing .308 WIN to 7mm-08 Rem. with CG Hornady FL shelf dies.
The IL QD mount will twist and flex a bit, definitely more than zero.

Is it enough to be bothersome?
I don't foresee me swapping presses.

Doesn't bother me any more then the slop in the press linkage, but its more than zero. I like the set up a lot and have no plans on doing away with it, but it is not as ridged as a press bolted directly to the table.

I swap 2 presses on the tall riser depending on cartridge loaded. The biggest job I've done with mine so far was forming 300 WinMag to 358 Norma which requires moving the shoulder back a bit. There was a whole lot more force on the press handle than anything else I've ever done. I haven't noticed any movement at all, but haven't installed a dial indicator on the mount either.

The QD nuts dont work loose. I tightened mine a bit too much (by hand) early on & the plastic outer wing part came loose from the metal threaded nut. Barely snug with the nuts is fine.

I have one InLine that is not QD and one that is. The latter is set up to accept my CoAx and a RCBS Rock Chucker. Neither have ever moved any perceptible amount. I wish both of my InLine mounts were QD.

Odds are you will like the InLine Fab QD mount system well enough to start using them for many other things.

I know some folks who have so much bench space they mount stuff and never worry, but I don't have the space to permanently mount in the main work area. Having worked in shops and labs my whole life, I was used to the idea of needing to constantly switch things over based on the needs of the moment.

With most folks who have to run many diverse topics in a limited work space, you will likely find yourself adapting many things to the IL QD system as time goes on. They are well done for work short of large anvils or heavy hammering, or when lever arms or cheater bars get upwards of say what a 4" vise would hold. So they have their limits, but are well suited to regular reloading presses.

They also have risers in addition to their flat mounts, and those can really help with getting the work to the right height for ergonomics when you have to do a lot of something.

My T-7 is rock solid and the highest mount brings it up to the height it SHOULD be at!

I have their flush mount for all 3 of my presses (pair of Rockchuckers and an XL750), they are rock solid, and the thumb nuts have never come loose.

Have them for my RCBS, Dillon and MEC presses, really likem they are well made and a little cheaper than the Dillons, easy to change out presses by buying addition plates. Titan Reloading is where I bought mine great service and fast shipping at a reasonable cost
