how should I fill the mag well for a single shot

I am bedding a rem 600 action in a repeater McMillan Hunter BR stock. I glued in a single shot ramp and want to fill the mag well area. Add a block of wood and devcon? Any one bTDT?

If you never plan to go back to a repeater action, glue a block of wood in the mag well.
If you're not sure, pack it with just about anything.
If the ss follower is real secure, don't worry about it. Tape the bottom of follower after you glue it in place and forget about it.
Be real nice to be able to switch back, just in case.
Next month you may not like that stock.

It will stay a SS so a block of wood will go under the devcon.

If anything I have learned to not like the 600 REM. Too much an orphan, when compared to 700 footprint actions.
