How "safe" should a trigger be?

Is the pin dropping because the pin's cocking piece is jumping over the trigger's cocking bar or is it dropping because the trigger shoe is moving and releasing the cocking bar?

None that I can see. I have the same trigger in my Mausingfield. No/very little cock on close there either.

Bix Tac Sport Pro X in both actions.

No problem with the regular competition triggers or just the Tac Sport.

Seems like the sharp impact of the hammer is josling some bits inside the trigger.
Have you tried swapping triggers? Before you do that, try the 'tapping' again while holding some forward pressure on the trigger lever.

Haven't tried swapping triggers. I will try this weekened; I can beat the **** out of a comp or tac sport with no issue.

Holding the trigger shoe:
Mac Bros - Did not drop pin
Mausingifled - Dropped pin
