Like many shooters here, I run a muzzle brake on my rifle so being able to check the crown of my barrel is a somewhat of a chore. The Ross Schuler brake was faced off in my lathe to clock correctly when torqued onto the barrel and is Loctited (271) as well. Not a big problem when heat and a steel rod are used to spin it off.
My question is, ballpark idea when to remove the brake and check the crown for any build up of carbon, muck muck, etc..
Opinions??
