How much should 6mmbr neck be sized? This can't be right

@Badsalad
Well I received my die from Forster this am. They honed the neck to .2650. When I size a case with the expander removed the neck measures .2660. Accounting for spring back this seems right.Run-out at this point is .0005. With the expander installed the case measures .2670 out of the die. Sizing this way my run-out measures .0005-.0015 on the small sample I done. If I size with the expander removed and run the case in my Sinclair expander die the cases measure .2675 and the run-out is .0005-.001. Seems a bit better, but this was a very small sample and I find it hard to get a constant measurement with such a short case on my run-out tool I think I will like the die but I'll have to have the rifle and do some real world testing to make a final decision. But in the end I don't really believe it will be any better than the Redding body die and Lee collet die method.JMO

I use a Foster for my 6xc and am very happy.
I turn necks to .267 XC die is .264. It fits my needs perfectly.
I believe they are quality dies. And customer service seems great so far. What I'm most impressed with is the seater die. Ive only used it for 50 loads but they all measured +/- .0005 length to ogive. (It could also be that the Berger bullets are more consistent than what I've been using in 6.5cm).

Just use a good fl bushing die and dont buy into any rediculous internet bs. If they werent the way to go pretty much every br shooter wouldnt use them. You need to be able to adjust neck tension and who wants to compound issues using multiple dies? Simplify your life and concentrate on shooting. Fl bushing die donuts are a non-issue. The same radius exists in the mouth of a bushing that exists in a fixed die, plus donuts arent even in the big picture if your chamber is right- who cares? These myths that get started and worry the hell out of reloaders have to stop. Nobody can even have fun anymore. I can guarantee you cant shoot good enough to have to worry about measuring primers and concentricity and donuts if youre even worried about it in the first place. Get some windflags and go practice and have fun
