How Much Sand?

Guys,
How tightly is your front bag packed with sand? I am shooting a Robertson and a MBR stock in F-Class. Both have 3 inch wide forearms. Presently I am shooting a cordura front bag packed as tightly as I can get it with Sinclair's black sand.


Which is best packed tightly or loosely or somewhere in between? Does it make any difference?


Are you F-Class shooters using a front stop?



If you are shooting a Robertson's Speedy stock or a McMillan MBR,
where is you stock resting on the front bag when you take your shot. How many inches from the front of the stock?

Hey Chuck....

Ears on mine are loose, but not floppy, cordura...so I can twist forearm a "little" right and left in them without binding. My metal side tabs that bear on the ears are very loose. I would opt for everything about the front bag being more firm if I could assure myself of getting both front and rear bags perfectly aligned from the get-go to prevent any torquing, but I'm not that good at setting-up.
