How many of you???

Not to infringe on Dusty's thread but how many of you have or are shooting while battling this terrible disease?
I am and it sucks, some times I think the treatment is worse than the disease. I know that for a few days after treatment I feel like poop (to put it nicely). Now for over a year there has been a shortage of the medicine needed to treat my cancer so it is just sitting there waiting to explode. Other chemo meds literally peel the inside bladder wall away and I pass it while voiding, almost as bad as a kidney stone 3-4 times a day.
Now they want to remove the bladder which is a 3-4 month recovery with extended hospital stay and with this virus even more complications can or will show up. Drs. may not even be willing to do it right now because it is a BIG procedure, everything gets removed and is replaced with a bag.
Wonder where I will be in a year, all I can do is pray.
Not looking for sympathy maybe a few prayers would help. No one to blame but myself.

I wish I could offer some help, or even just hope for you, Froggy. Hard to believe that the meds you need just aren't being produced enough, but it's a brave new world with this new disease threatening us all.

Are there any new drug/treatment trials starting up that you may get onboard with? Just a thought, you've probably been researching those, but those seem to spring up without warning from time to time.

Wishing you success in finding the meds you need as soon as possible.

It's been 6 1/2 years since my diagnosis and what keeps me going is I have a grandson that was born about the same time. I want to be the one to give him actual memories of his gun owning grandpa, not rely on somebody else telling him about me. I hope you can find something that gives you a purpose to fight, In 200 years, society will look back and say, the way they treated cancer back in 2020 with DNA changing drugs and radiation that burns a person from the inside out, was barbaric. Cancer sucks, it's not your fault, hang in there
good luck.

Almost a year since I got diagnosed with Esophageal cancer. After looking up the survival rate, I looked at checking out on my own terms. I was lucky to talk to a survivor who talked me into pursuing treatment. Chemo, Radiation, and surgery. It really sucked for 10 months but I'm still here. I would encourage you to search out the best docs for your particular cancer. I was lucky to have some of the best Thoracic surgeons in the country close.
I shoot matches with a buddy that has worn a bag since college. You would never know it. Hang in there, and stay strong.

In my Prayers .

It Sucks I have a Heart Aneurism , No Surgery period .

I feel for you - in March I awoke one morning with a large bulge in my lower abdomen. Thought is was over for sure.

Fast forward, had a double hernia - that was sort of good news - problem - the virus had the surgery center shut down. Doctor was concerned that colon might become strangulated so I was on emergency watch.

Had the surgery in May - managed to recover and get some ghog hunting in mid to late summer.

We sometimes let small things bothers us but I've learned in my 70+ years of life that if you have your health and love ones all the rest is just small stuff.

Best thoughts, prays, and wishes for your speedy recovery.
