How many BR variants are there really?

How many BR variants are there really?
From the parent 6br case.
Any and all caliber
Well there’s 20’s, 22’s, 6’s, 7’s and 30’s would be the more popular of them. Not as many 6.5’s. You could do a br in any caliber but just sizing up or down if you wanted to play with hot rods like 17’s or unique like 25’s.

Of the variants off the top of my head there is the;
- br
- bra
- brx
- dasher

I don't know if the Waldog is off the br case but there is a couple different Talldogs on the br case.
BR parent case. Guys shooting pistol silhouette in the 70's used 308 cases shortened to 1 1/2" for less recoil. Remington made 7BR cases and the rest is history.

Hey Hal,
The Waldog is off the 220 Russian/PPC case.
I shot the Talldog for several years when I started shooting Benchrest as 220 Russian's were not available and no Lapua's yet.
Fred Hasecuster developed it off Remington 7BR cases that were necked down and shortened .085".
Shot extremely well, but after Lapua cases became readily available, it was just easier to stay with the 6PPC.

What's it like? When did ya make it? Or what's different about it. Sounds interesting.
It is a 30BR .080 longer at the shoulder, the neck ends up a little shorter. I bought it from a fellow BR shooter that chambered it. He has several rifles that he uses in that chambering. It is as accurate as my standard 30 BR. I bought it last summer, worked up a load and shot the UBR Nationals (100 & 200) and placed 8th with it. I will see if I have a pick of the cartridge and post it.
