HI
Does the amount of barrel grooves 3, 4 or 6 have an effect on how a projectile will fragment??
A lot of people are getting really good accuracy with a 3 groove barrel for BR matches but does the lack of stirrations in the projectile jacket effect projectile performance when they are used for varmiting etc etc.
My 6BR is being built as a varmint/vermin gun first and a competition gun a way behind second.
I have been offered a 1:9 twist 3 groove barrel and am wondering what effects the less grooves will have on 55,70 NBT, 58,65,75 V-max and 70TNT projectiles and their performance out to 400 yards.
THanks heaps for your ideas
