I didn't find rationale for particular velocity there. Many people run 7PRCW at .284 win velocity. My understandind was one builds PRCW in order to get 2900+fps, otherwise people would just build another .284 win.

I am running 2900 in mine. It shot good at 2950 fps but clickers were in my future after only 2 firings. Simple solution was slow it down . I did and no clickers after 7 firings. A rollsizer is not in my future . Mid 55gr gets my 180’s to 2900.

What barrel length do you have? Do you find 7PRCW more difficult to tune than plain vanilla .284 win?

I’m running a 32” . I don’t have a tuner .It very easy to tune. I found my load in first 50 pc of brass. 2 charges at 2900 and 2950 fps shot tight waterline . Seating test was easy . Shot one match at 2950 and I could begin to feel clickers. Came down 1 gr of powder to 2900 fps . That was 850 shots ago. Same load and never changed anything .
