I really don't know. I'm retired and my Wife and I are always up for a road trip if it involves a new dining experience or some scenic place. I guess it depends.............
Back during the Obama panic my Wife and I drove about 150 miles to take a fellow reloader some primers, powder and some lead. He had lost all of his stuff in a fire. We spent the night in a really cool lakefront cabin, had a great meal and a few drinks and had a really nice time. We met the guy the next day at a steak house, bought his dinner and left him with enough stuff to get him back on his feet. We had a very enjoyable long weekend and made a friend in the process.
A couple of years ago I bought over 2800# of sorted wheelweights, some brass and some other casting stuff from an older guy trying to thin out his stuff. Me and a buddy made the 400 mile trip, got a room and visited a couple of breweries and had some great food. We met the guy the next day, loaded up everything, visited with the guy for a while and made the trip home. After we got home and talked about it with our wives they decided to go back with us for the rest of the guys stuff. So we made the same trip again, bought another 2800# or so of lead, some more brass, casting tools, ect. We had an enjoyable long weekend, had some great beer and food, and made a new friend in the process. So, it depends............
