How Can You DRY Cases Quickly?

His primary issue is still having the primers in while he's drying the cases. Remove the primers and air will actually circulate through the cases.

Nor is my oven a "strange device." Checking with a bimetallic thermometer (for cooking purposes) has proven that it will hold ±20°F. If an oven is set at 350°F, it seems unlikely that a >100°F temperature excursion would occur.

Yes, it's doubtful that the temperature would vary much once preheated.

The issue is the red hot heating elements during the pre-heat cycle that emit tremendous radiant energy. the pan that the brass lies on will often overheat during the warm up cycle and if the broiler element is engaged to speed the preheat, the brass too can be overheated. The thermostat is only affected by the air temp in the oven and doesn't take into consideration what radiant heat is directed to the items in the oven.

Apparently you preheat, just like I cautioned.

I rinse my brass to get rid of sizing fluids/gunk then lay them out in the Texas sun on a "dedicated" cookie sheet. I then turn on a fan to remove water vapor. After about 15 min. I stir them around by tumbling them by hand and then let sit and air for another 15-30 min. They are bone dry and the process is not labor intensive. Don't use the cookie sheet for anything else.

So you Texans have your own sun, huh 8)

Always knew y'all were different there ;)
