Cleaning between firings? Your procedure?

It does a very good job of knocking the media out.... BUT.....I do not know if it gets it out of the flash hole. That is why I size/deprime after cleaning.

I used to struggle with a screen over a bucket, but I ended up with corn cob everywhere, so I got the dillon, and I am very happy with it.

This has been a handy tool to have. Wiggle it around the inside of case and through the flash hole to get all the media out.

Depends on the grit size of the media.

The usual size corn cob media does get stuck in small rifle primer flash holes - guaranteed!
There is finer grit size that absolutely won't get stuck.
It's typically sold as blasting media.

While it is fresh, before I leave the range, I use 0000 steel wool to remove powder fouling from the outside of case necks, and wipe them off, then I run a brush straight in and out of the necks, twice. Later I clean the primer pockets before sizing. That is it. I don't use a vibratory cleaner, or anneal. BTW not all long range benchrest winners anneal, not that I shoot that sport, just have done some interviews.

List your caliber(and maybe powder), and how you clean your brass between firings!
Do you dry tumble? Wet rumble? Ultra sonic? Media/cleaner?
Just brushes? Just neck, or brush everything?
No cleaning at all???
Same thing every time? Or something different ever X firings?

Ive been lucky enough to only load fresh cases in both 223rem and 6.5x47L but will soon be needing to load once(and later multi) fired brass. And oddly cant find much discussion on this specific topic (I did search this forum for the title text).

I'll start off.

For 45acp and 40SW I've run cases in walnut dry tumbler for a few hours (until clean inside) before decapping. No other cleaning before decapping and loading. But ive noticed the 223 thats made it in doesn't usually seem very clean....

I dry tumble all my brass and for my 6.5 Grendal, Creedmore, and PRC. Use my Dillon 550C to size and seat bullets after hand decaping and hand primer each case. I then manually charge each round and seat the bullets.
