interesting...good spot guys! We were looking at getting a new one as I am using an old dental office hand me down that is losing its gusto. Though, the street price isnt going to be much more for the Hornady one and the wholesale is just above the ebay buy it now price. So, it MIGHT be worth $10-20 or so just to have the nice red Hornady one sitting on the bench rather than the white, sterile looking one.


How well do these work? Can you get 100 or so cases in there and actually clean them like they say? My current one I put in about 20-30 308 size cases and have it on a timer so it runs 10 mins on, 10 off and takes about overnight to clean the cases. What does this one do?

how do you use this thing?? does the brass and cleaning solution go directly in the stainless pan or do you have to buy other containers to hold the brass?? the pan seems a little on the shallow side [2.75" deep]

I run the cleaning agent in the pan (12"x10"x6") and fill the basket with brass and dunk, set the timer to HOLD, even 50 BMG brass fits standing up!

I have used the Harbor Freight model for over a year. I use it a LOT!!!!! It operates flawlessly which is more than I can say about some others that I've used. I recommend it highly.

Harbour Freight has two different sizes & they are a whole lot Cheaper. I think I will stick to my Tumbler to clean my Brass.

I've used different solutions and home made stuff, but the
PolyChem DEOX-007 that my watch repairman gave me does a nice job:

I've cleaned 10,000 rounds plus (.223, .243, .308) before seeing a need to change it, roughly 4,000-4,500 50's.
