hornady ultrasonic cleaner

OK.
I'm tired of all the dust left on my brass from tumbling.
I ordered a 2.5L ultrasound, Citranox (which specifically mentions it's designs for cleaning brass), and some GC-10 gun cleaning solution from Sonicwise. I expect this will be a vast improvement over tumbling.

I see that the PolyChem DEOX-007 is also specifically designed for metals like brass. I'll probably try that too.

Thanks, Jim

I'm Lookin' forward to it!
Gee, what will I do instead of sittin' here cleaning primer pockets?
Is it Spring yet?!
No? Damn groundhog!

Okay, I'm sold.
Could somebody tell us what to do with the wet cases? On a rack in the dryer? Do they stain?
Jim

I will save my Money & use my Tumbler & a Dryer Sheet for the dust which works very well & put my money towards componets. I am not a Bench Rest shooter so I dont Weigh my Brass nor fill each case with water to see how much powder each case will hold. LBEE

They can stain, but just tumble them if you want to get rid of the stains. I dry mine but dumping them on a towl on the floor and have a little desk fan that blows air over them for a day or three or whenever I finally get out to put them away.

Yeah, I hear ya......I'm not a Benchrest Shooter either....I just like to see how much money I can spend trying to put holes close together in paper very far away........FOR SCORE!

Sometimes my wife's face looks like she's haven' a stroke, but it's all good, she'll just spend some on Diamonds and Gold.`

FACT: Ultra Sonic cleaned cases are not just bright....they're
CLEAN INSIDE & OUT!

I set mine up neck down on a tray I made while a small heater with a fan blows on and most importantly into them, gently with warm dry air.

Drying cases

Rinse in HOT water, Vaccum water out from case neck. Make a nipple for the shop vac works great . 2-3 sec dry time

To dry cases, just shake the water out and put them on a cookie sheet in a 200 oven for 2 hours and then turn the oven off. They are ready to reload in the morning.

I found the oven to leave them "toned", so I switched to the little heater method.
