Hornady tool tip

For those who use the Hornady bullet and headspace comparators, I recently learned something about the red adapter that you may find useful. There is a slot in it for a caliper that it clamps on, that is offset to one side. If the brass thumbscrew is installed in the threaded hole on the thick side, the assembled tool is offset so that it can be used with the seating dept tool and modified case, since the cut away in the main tube only goes to the tubes half way point. The tool needs to be offset on the caliper so that it can be aligned with the case. On the other hand, if the thumbscrew is installed through the thin side the caliper will be centered in the tool, which is how it is easiest to use with the headspace inserts, and for measuring bullets and ogive to head on loaded rounds. I picked this up on a video, and have posted it in case the information might be of use to someone else.
