Hornady Power Case Trimmer

In the description it says 22 cal to 30 cal. How are you doing 20? I have over 1000 Vartarg to trim so I'm very interested

that's an old description, mine came with a 20 caliber pilot. I called Hornady and asked them the same question. The woman on the phone said they make them in such small batches she doubted if there was any of the older ones still out there for sale. But she said if it didn't come with the .20cal. pilot to give her a call and that she would mail one off to me. Because the Vartarg is such a short case I did struggle with alignment in the Colett from time to time, I found if I put my finger over the mouth of the case to hold the base flat against the Colett it worked a lot better. Also if you're like me and your Butterfingers, empty the lower tray frequently so when you accidentally drop one into the tray that hasn't been cut yet you don't have to look through very many.

I know the price point seems high on one of the trimmers to some of us, but realistically I’m on my second DeWalt gyro screwdriver now for chamfering and they don’t give those things away either,

If you already had the Henderson trimmer why would you buy the Hornady?

I borrowed a Henderson. I didn't buy one.

I did the same thing with my finger over the mouth of the case. It really helps center the case in the collet.
