Hornady lock n load neck turner?

Anybody here use the hornady neck turner looks like a trimmer almost. How are they I found one for a very good deal and am really close to buying it. Was looking at km stuff but the hornady looks like a better idea and this one is cheaper because it's forsale on a classifieds. Any info on it would be great.

Cheap does not count for much with a neck turner.
The only thing that really counts is peak performance in turning. Anything less than perfect is a waste of time and money and brass etc.

I watched the video, and it struck me that a couple of the cases seemed to spiral near the base rather than rotate. So I watched the 8 cases a couple more times . . . cases 4, 6, 7, 8 had significant spiraling and #2 had some.

Does that have any effect on the concentricity of the turning?

In my video I made a point of tugging at the cutter with substantial strength and you can see that in the muscles of my forearm. To me it seems essential that the neck be stable and the case head (down by the drill) is not that important, because there is no cutting going on there. In my mind, that is a very important difference from the hand held cutters.

The spiraling that you see on the video has no impact on concentricity or the neck turning. Those cases have only been deprimed and cleaned. After neck turning comes the annealing and resizing. That's when the runout gets eliminated.

Joe

Enjoyed the video Joe !! A few comments: I suspect the wobbling drill is caused by the Chuck not making it to perfect center on the case driver. What case wall thickness variable are you able to hold?? ............... Next, Could one Retro fit the old concentricity tool which shares the same base and apparently a few other parts, to a case turning tool?? Thanks in advance
