Turns out my LnL does not need shims, it's all good. But what really smooths the action down is using Lucas Oil Red&Tacky grease on the ram and hub internals. Way less jumpy action. Before, I was using super slick garage door lube which makes the ram glide effortlessly but maybe too smoothly... Maybe it really does need thick grease.How to shim the drive hub and baseplate on the Hornady LnL AP. I'm going to try this. Basically, most benefit from inserting 4-8 thou shims to reduce plate tilt and jarring motion on rotation.
