Hornady ELD-M and Tipped SMK

I have a Remington 700 (20” bbl 1in 12 twist) with a long leade and am curious if anyone has tried either Hornady ELDs or the tipped SMKs with long jumps to the lands and what your experience was? I am particularly interested in the 168 Grain but also the 175-178 grain ones as well. My168 SMK has ~0.100” jump when seated to a COL of 2.820”.

I've had good results with the sierra. Not so great with hornady. Sierra 168 are very consistent weights and tips. The hornady varies significantly as much as half a grain in either direction

My savage .308 shoots the Hornady 168 Amax really well loaded mag length and I have no idea how much they’re jumping but it’s probably around .100” or more. I’ve wanted to try the ELDM for the better BC but not sure it’s worth working up a new load.
