Hornady cam lok case trimmer FAIL!

So just started to reload 308 win rounds. I have been reloading pistol for some time now. I bought the hornady cam lok trimmer and the 3 way cutter. I am about 20 cases in after I got it all dialed in and snap the cheap pot metal snaps and slices my hand. Any one have experience with this or seen it before. Hornady said they will send out a handle and a free poster for my inconveniences.

Convert it to use a drill if you can.

Sucks that it happened but like i suspected they will get you fixed up. Anything can have defects- at least it works as designed

From the photos, it looks like there was a void in the pot metal casting. Hopefully, the replacement will work out better and not have a defect.

Barely takes any pressure and only like 3 turns to trim a case

Mine has worked with no issues for a couple years now. But I did purchase the attachment for use with a power drill/screwdriver instead of turning with hand crank. It would appear that the handle had a flaw in it, when they cast it, air bubble instead of solid fill. Ask them for a replacement for the drill adaptor, you will like it much better anyway.
