Lyman Universal Trimmer

Just received mine today. First I noticed the cam-actuated case holder: ingenious! Noticed .25 caliber pilot fixture extinct in set of pilots. Nothing earth-shaking, but still seems a very workable devise. Of course, the enclosed CARBIDE cutter is why I bought this set-up. My hand was getting weary and callused from my old steel cutter. Since .22, .24, and .30 calibers cover my main concerns, those pilots were all included in the package. It mounts on my bench with three machine screws, one less than my last trimmer. I'm not so high-tech as to have opted for a POWER trimmer, but since my last Lyman aluminum-built trimmer lasted me ten years with a steel cutter, this one should last past my expected lifetime. From Midsouth Shooter Supply, at a whopping $72.95, I'd say I can live with and enjoy this reloading accessory for the next twenty years. Cliffy

I dig mine for sure, that case holder is slick and really quick to use. I've never used those pilots with mine though, I don't want to gall the inside of my necks with them. I use the power adapter and that keeps it squared up and solid without the use of the pilots.
