hornady 87 gr. vmax bullets

lot # 2070711 guys these bullets are really messed up

i bought 1300 from suppller and had to send back

i called hornady and some woman there got really sarcactic

has anyone else had this problem . they measured 21 thousands

difference in the same box,i love these bullets but havent been

able to locate a good lot,what do u guys think i was using davidson comparator

I will be shooting the 87grn V-Max bullets out of my 6BR in about a month, so I will let you know how they work. However, I plan on using the 105grn A-Max for all of my varminting needs. I have heard the 105grn A-Max bullets are pretty consistant compared to the V-Max bullets.

Tried them in my 6x47 L Couldn't get them to shoot! I shoot 50 gr vmax in my 22-250 and they shoot in the .2's. They also vary in weight a lot.

kman: tried them in one of my 6BRs, a 1-9.25 twist, and could not get them to shoot, 3" w/ 5 shots at 200 was average). Wrote them off as being too long at 1.045" for the twist. Lot# 2070267.

Personally, I never measure V-Maxes. I just shoot 'em. Some barrels may not like them, but I've haven't had one yet. The 87s shoot pretty well out of my 6-284--probably the only gun I plan to shoot them from. If I were shooting groundhogs, it might be different. But shooting 87s in a PD town can get pretty wearing by the end of the day.
