yes it is nosler
I've shot hundreds of .224 69gr bullets in a Model 12 Savage with a 26" barrel and am now shooting 60gr VMAX in that rifle.
Sierra Match King
Nosler Custom Competition
Barns Match Burners
RMR
.224 68gr Hornady Match
All are very similar in profile. with the Match Burners slightly longer and the Hornady 68gr the longest of the bunch. I don't believe Hornady is moving away from their 68gr Match bullet.
Hope to be moving to a 80gr bullet whenever I get around to changing barrels to a 1:7 twist.Haha. I'm moving the opposite direction. I've been shooting 60 gr VMAX and like them a lot, but want a heavier bullet and am moving the the SMK and/or its clone.
I took it as a joke.Is the Nosler a new bullet or the Custom Competition 69 gr. bullet they've had for at least 14 years (meaning the CC 69 gr is an exact clone of the SMK)?
I took it as a joke.
Sorry! You took it wrong then. It is a legit question. My guy left me with the impression this was a relatively newly produced clone. My point in the "joke" question was that the Custom Competition 69 gr. has been out for 14 years, so for my guy's story to make sense, it couldn't be the CC bullet.
