Hornady 6.5 Grendel 123gr SST Ammo

My grendel love's this ammo, has anyone tried to duplicate it with there reloads, and if so, I would love the recipe, thanks fella's

26.8gr ar-comp worked for me running @ 2445 from my 20" bartlein AR

The best speed /accuracy comes from Power Pro Varmint or IMR8208 with Lapua 123g and Lapua brass, in a bolt gun - can't speak for a gasser. 100g Hornady's do well with Benchmark.

8208 and AR-Comp both provided excellent groups with a slight speed edge to 8208. That said, AR-comp is incredibly stable for the small speed hit. Hard to find a bad load in my 24" AR platform using it with Lapua brass. This goes without saying but each firearm will have it's peccadilloes, so testing is still key.

For my Grendel it was TAC or Power Pro Varmint for best accuracy. I shoot with a guy that has really good luck with 8208XBR but for me it was the ones listed, ball powders. Mine is a 26 inch bolt rifle. Oh, the 123 SST's out shoot all other bullets I have tried in it...

Old school, but you will find H335 to bea good powder for 123's in the Grendel.

oOoOO, I've got a lot of grendel info; replicating 123 SST load info for s missing though. i think you'll find the grendel to be easy on loading though, if you have accuracy; generally more accuracy follows with basic loading techniques.

Consensus from 6.5 Grendel Forum is that the best powders (velocity and pressure) for 120gr and heavier bullets are AR-Comp, H4895, Power Pro Varmint, CFE 223, LeverEvolution.

I have had very good success with H4895 and CFE223 with the 123gr SST. My understanding is the greastest velocity, with lower pressures, and low SD/ES is LeverEvolution. I just don't have any on hand to try.
