THATS THE BADDEST BULLET I THINK I HAVE EVER SHOT IN ONE OF MY SLOW TWIST 22BR

I have lots of these left over from when I had a 1-9 twist .22-.250 and I can remember the last shot taken at a p-dog at about 275 yards before I had a re-barrel job. Last week I loaded some Vmax 53's up with some R-S Big Game in my 1-7.7 twist with no fussing and was amazed at how good they shot at up to 300 yards. The Sg was probably over 3.0

I have a 223AI with a 22in. Hart 1-9tw and those 53Vmax are my go to bullet. They shoot tiny little groups and are hel on coyotes. In fact, one took a dirt nap from one yesterday morning.

I just needed dimension for a reamer. seems the bearing surface dim is hard to find.

OP, thank very much for the information.

These bullets are my .22-.250 AI's regular diet, propelled by H380 to just under 4,000 fps. You should see what it does to a crow at these velocities - the evidence is sparse, but dramatic!

You by chance don't have numbers from the 52grain match to compare to do you?
Loaded some in my AR with Varget, suprised is an understatement @100. 3/4" was the norm before, but I never was excited about it.
