and thanks on the comps.. appreciate itI see a couple of sighters that are wayyyy out there...in the 1 ring.. is why I asked. I'll hold off but not that much, if I can help it. I assume you were dialed in, now. I see now. Good target.
Not at all.....The Ratigan is easily re-tunable between guns to bring you back to where you need to be with the counterweights on the front ( the best re-tune system out there IMHO ). It's just a dynamic I personally don't want in my system....Not a knock at all towards anyone who does. .......Not trying to be argumentative Rick, but I’ve not had any trouble with my Ratigan whether I’m using a 10.5 pound LV, a 13.5 HV or a 19 pound gun. The counterweight on the rest is easy to adjust to accommodate different gun weights. I’m hands on on all of them with no negatives.
It ain't your old pick me up truck! What's the point of a joystick if you aren't holding it?
I agree w/ @jimmymac, I’m using my T-Rex with 4 rifles ranging from 10-17 pounds. Just tightened down enough that it tracks and doesn’t move unless I want it to, and i don’t have to change the setup of the joystick when switching between rifles. Not trying to be argumentative Rick, but I’ve not had any trouble with my Ratigan whether I’m using a 10.5 pound LV, a 13.5 HV or a 19 pound gun. Yes, that's my experience too. The Raptor/T-Rex does seem more forgiving to varying gun weights than any other rest I've seen and I think it comes from the design vs most other coax rests. But, it's in the adjustment. I can and do set mine pretty light and at that, yes, I can tell a difference in two drastically different weight rifles. But I can tune that out and it still be a lot lighter stick movement than the next closest to it. I totally understand the high praise that some rests get and it's deserved, but unless you've tried a well adjusted Raptor/ T- Rex, you can't really know what you're missing either. Lol! Just very impressed with my Raptor. Nuff said on that.I agree w/ @jimmymac, I’m using my T-Rex with 4 rifles ranging from 10-17 pounds. I've run 10.5-28 pounds on my NEO-X and haven't had to make any adjustments to support those varying weights.... YMWVYes, that's my experience too. I still haven't had my hands on the new X models yet but hope to soon. But from what I can tell and from what I've been told by those that have one, he changed to internal design to be very much like the Raptor design, so yes, it would stand to reason that they both will support a wide range of gun weights. That's my point, if he did emulate Rod's design, I would expect it to at least be similar in this regard.I've run 10.5-28 pounds on my NEO-X and haven't had to make any adjustments to support those varying weights....
