Hodgdon’s Accurate Data

I know that Accurate has been a Hodgdon company for awhile, but I just noticed today that Hodgdon is listing online data for Accurate propellants. How long have they been doing this, and do we know for certain if the data listed was developed by Hodgdon - or just carryover from past Accurate testing?

Several months ago, at least. Hodgdon acquired Accurate over a year ago (Oct 2020.)

I would assume it's Accurate's old data ported over to Hodgdon's website format. That is just an assumption though.

The reloading data on Hodgdon's site seems to eliminate some loads that Western published in their reloading pdf. It seemed Hodgdon was trying to 'position' their various powders for the different cartridges/bullets. There were some pretty good loads that Western had that Hodgdon didn't show.

Thanks guys. For some reason I had difficulty opening the Accurate online manual yesterday, the link kept going to a Not Found page.
When I tried it just now, it also said there was an error, but just below the error message there were some links to other pages and those links worked.

Early this year I spoke to someone at Hodgdon about the transfer of Accurate and Ramshot data to Hodgdon’s load data website, and was told that it has to be done manually which is a long process. Plus with some of the data, Hodgdon needs to verify as they will be responsible/liable if any of the Accurate or Ramshot data is incorrect.

One gunpowder, Accurate, LT-32 for 6PPC and 6BR is still missing from Hodgdon’s load data website. It’s a good thing I copied the data from Western’s website.

I purchased Western Powder’s hand loading guide about 3 years ago, it has a lot of good info that Hodgdon has not touched on on their website or manual

I have been using Hodgdon and AA powder for over 20 years. Good powder.

I have never found their data to be worth using.
I do like the pricing of the first load book.

I remember buying Unique in one-pound paper bags in the early 70s, although that was not directly from Hercules. I’m not certain how that is less safe than the cardboard cans that Hercules sold at that time, although it certainly was easier to puncture the bag and lose powder.
