Historical Benchrest question

Roger -
What year was that?
And what was his 10-shot, 100yd aggregate?

I know they were used some, but would have thought if they were averaging 1/4-inch for 10-shots like Bart says, they would have been used a lot more then they actually were.
Hi Donavan,,,,"to the best of my knowledge" (haha) I think the 100 yd ag was .3xxx,,(5-10's),,remember this is in "real" conditions not a shooting tunnel,,,the year was ~1976 (mid 70's) ,,,,Roger

Donovan,

I have nearly every issue of PS from about 1954 on to about 2001. Drive down, we'll shoot some Rockchucks, and you can sit in my living room and read them all.

Recoil was the answer to the 308 scarcity in the three light classes of BR.

@IdahoSharpshooter

If you have that many old PS magazines, how long can I stay? ..... lol
Coming out for Rockchucks is a very, very tempting offer !.!.!

Inherited a suitcase full of an uncle's old PS and American Rifleman magazines, all from the 60's and 70's.
Love thumbing through those old issues....

I have a straight taper Neidner barrel in R2Lovell that I took off a pre war M70 Hornet action. Never got the history on it but I'm sure it was an old BR rig.
