High priced powders

If the tariffs are implemented on goods imported into USA the cost of these goods will go up in the USA. Varget is made in Australia. The impact on the cost of shooting sports in USA will be significant and permanent. The NRA needs to be lobbing now for for the new administration to not implement non targeted tariffs on imports. You have a limited time to stock up before the increased cost is imposed by your new government.
The proposed tarrifs are directed at certain countries and goods, they are not universal.

I don’t know where your from, but we now have something positive on the horizon for this country and your spreading likely fallacy over something trivial.

Slow buying slows inflation is the idea. I remember the days that Americans held work as it's #1 project.
Then entertainment became the American dream.
Unfortunately many will be priced out and lucky to have the basics in life.

Hodgdon is my preferred brand, but the IMR series is also quite adequate in my experience. It always good to have an alternative plan in place in this brave new world of constant change.

Also, another reason I choose the 223 Rem cartridge as my new primary cartridge for range shooting (recreational target practice) and varmint/predator hunting. I get about 280 reloads out of a 1 lbs. canister of powder. :) I also added a 22 RF Tikka to my shooting regime to give me more trigger time.

Instead of complaining, figure a way to adapt so you can keep shooting. Adapt and overcome - US Army mantra, at least when I was a boot. ;)

I held my nose and voted for Trump because of the Second Amendment and the border. Had to take a bath after voting for the malignant narcissist and imbecile.

The "positive on the horizon" you have to look forward to is massive inflation from ballooning deficits. If you think this stuff is expensive now, just wait four years. The day after the election the stock market was up 2.5%, but the bond market was DOWN 5%. Bond investors have a much longer time horizon than stock "traders", and they know what's coming.

If you guys think the cost of shooting is high, just wait till your local plumber or electrician gets through putting your A$$ through the wringer.

he's only going too impose them on Co's that don't play fair, if a American Co is selling at the same price no need for a tariff, if an American Co sells at $50 a pound and a another country is importing it in at $30 a pound, Tariff. Who owns the factory in AU? if American, no tariff ether.

Here in Canada Varget $74.95 per lb, IMR 4350 $75 per lb, H 4831 SC $70 per lb, CCI 450 primers $160 per 1000 all in stock and in Canadian dollars.

Except for trial basis, does anyone actually buy single 1# containers of powder?
I'll buy a single to try, if it works then I'll buy 8#s or multiple 8#s.
