Hi Score Benchrest Follower

Has anyone epoxied one of the single shot followers directly into the stock when bedding the action? I have a Savage 116 long action that I'm putting into a Stockade stock but I don't want to use the magazine and plan to fill the mag. well with epoxy and was hoping to install the follower directly in the stock. The reason for this is I want to be able to use the action with magazine, another barrel and stock for hunting. The rifle came with the new centerline feed magazine, but the magazine cut-out in the action and stock look to be the same dimensions as the one for the staggered magazine. Anyone know if the dimensions of the action cut-outs are the same?

I make those followers and would be glad to talk to you about them if you call us at 800-326-5632. I can give you our procedure for bedding one into the stock to make a dedicated single shot.

As for your rifle, the mag well cutout in the new center feed actions is different and much bigger than the old ones. One of our followers would probably work bedded into the stock, but I'm not sure which one would be best since I haven't done what you want to do yet with a new action. The Savage Long one is designed to fit into the old staggered magazine, and likely would be too narrow for what you want to do. When I get one of those newer guns in the shop I'll take a look at it and see if any of our current followers would work.

Not to bring up an old topic.but i to have a new center feed 12FV in 243.and i would like to put a benchrest follower of some sort in it.i read somewhere there is a follower that clues on the bottom of the action ??
