This past weekend I had three 65s, three. 4th relay I shoot a 61, WTH????? Now look at my target and then look at my sighters. Have you got a shoulder to cry on?? LOL :rolleyes::oops::eek:100 yard target 6-28-2020.jpg

Well, you screwed that up for sure. Lol did the light change, partly cloudy? Everything went low basically.
Well, it you look at the sighters everything looked good BUT I don't know if I pulled pushed or what, day was pretty overcast and rain (lite, like the beer). I'm still learning, and wondering (what caused this!!). :D I shot a sighter then the record, go back to sighter then back to record!

Shoulda done a sighter, then just shot the rest for record.

But you know hindsight & all.
And us sitting in our armchairs.
Next time when I do a record and it does that I'm going to the next record with correction that it has shown me and see if it holds true!!!

Did the sun pop out? That's what it looks like to me- varying light intensity.
I'm not sure really, I'm still learning and that is something to put in my mental notebook to watch for next time BUT what about the sighters? I did a sighter then a record then a sighter and so on, doesn't make sense to me but hey so much nowadays doesn't make sense!!

What kind of sand do you have in your front bag? When you change elevation coarse sands like heavy sand will change poi. On nbrsa and ibs group targets going from the sighter to record target will throw the first shot if your bags are not right.

1 click up would have helped.
I understand that BUT if you go to the sighter and it is dead nuts on and go back to record and it is low then go back to sighter and its dead nuts on? See where I'm coming from? Had I just held high after the record and shot records I probably would have done better!
There had to be something going on with the bags or the front rest or??????????

Okay, here is what I'm thinking too, I'm not sure what sand it is but it needs to change!! It may be heavy sand.

The relationship of bag (F&R) and rifle is always the hardest thing for me to get right.
It has become habit for me to slide the rifle back away from the front stop and then back to it once I move from sighters to record. Maybe I should stop because comparing sighters to record the sighters always are in a tight group and dead center.
A quick "reset" if you will. I started it when shooting short range off a Farley and now do it in long-range shooting off a SEB. Shooting 1,000 yard over the past weekend I noticed I had some very nice four (a couple of three) shot groups but one usually high or low that ruined groups in the 2.75-3" range. Saturday's LG targets were all in hotter and more humid weather and Sunday's in morning temps but virtually all looked he same. I don't think I have the 6BRA 100% in tune yet.

If you look at your sighters and your record shoots they are all on or low. If you came up a click you would have picked up a net of at least 2 points perhaps 3. You might have lost an x but points trump x's. On the sighter I would have shot a group to see what was going on as opposed to just single shots.Just my ideas.

Thanks, I'll try it!

The solution is simple. In the future, just make sure that the shots you inadvertently put on the sighting target in the match as shown above, are actually the shots you put on your score target. ;)
LOL Thanks I've had trouble figuring that out!!
