Help with Year Made of Remington XP-100 action

I have a Remington XP-100 action built into a rifle, so no barrel stamping to look at, just the serial number on the action. I've looked online, and most of the sites I find show dating only from barrel stamping, I don't have that. The XP-100 was made from 1963 through 1985, from what I can tell. My serial number is B75294XX, and only reference to the B dating in that range suggests 1981.

I have a 75055** and no prefix and it was before 1974 is all I know.

your dates are off. The standard XP-100 was made from 1963 to 1994. The XP-100R (repeater) was made only in 1998-1999

more likely it was 1990 or 1991. Remington did not make a lot of them each year,

Should have been built in 1988. That year started with B7526913 and ended with B7531970. This according to a book written by Ron Sabo

Can you give me more information on that book by Ron Sabo, like the title and where one could find one?

THE title is, Ron Sabo,s Long-Range Pistol Handbook, copyright 1999. I got my copy directly off his website years ago. Shortly thereafter he passed away, cancer,. They were published by VDK publishing. They show ph. no. 330-273-7367, may still be good. You might try e-bay. You might go to Long Range hunting forum , they have a sub forum on Specialty pistols, and do a want add.
