Remington XP-100

Building a 17 is like hitting yourself in the head with a hammer, feels so good when you stop. Jeez a .224 cartridge like a 222 or 222 Mag or a 6mm is so much easier all the way around. Plus the XP is just a 600 action, so 600 and 700 parts fit for a rear grip or a rifle build. Same thread, same recoil lug setup, etc.
I would drop that 17 like a bad habit. Not one person that I know, does not have problems with the 17s they own.
The little .224 are near bullet proof but a 6mm gives extra scope of use.
These are only a few of my XP builds most have 4 oz Taylor triggers.

The longer I think about it the more I remember I have, so far I'm at twelve 17 calibers. Some of my best memories I have are shooting them and the friends Ive made because of them. One is a 40x clone and the XP100 in 17MACH1V. Back in the day there were a lot of naysayers toward the 17, bullets too small for big fingers, fouled too quickly, blown around in the wind to easily. My advice is to lay into a bunch of 20 and 25 grain vmaxs and you will be set for a lifetime of fun.
