hi there.

i also am new to f-class outside the army.

i joined the NRA centre down in surrey and i spoke to some guys there who all had leupold scopes which are the more expensive scopes i guess but by far the clearest and reliable offered to f-class target shooters in my opinion, 1 becuase of the clarity, 2 becuase of the reliablity and 3 becuase of the simplicity and 4 becuase of the life time warranty you can get with Leupold.

I have got 3 scopes:

Tactical/Hunting:SN-3 T-PAL 5-25x40mm

F-Class 300yrds-1200yrds:Leupold 6.5-20x56mm

short range targets/Hunting/Varmint:Bushnell Elite 6500 2.5-16 x 42mm

all are mil dot and the us optics has a PCMOA Scale recticle which helps with range finding.

i say go for leupold ;)

Those Mark scopes look and sound like rebadged Barskas. Waste of money,at any price) in my opinion.

Syrup, the word is "turret", like on a castle, right mate? And you should buy your own gear with your own money, and stop relying on your parents for this sort of thing.

As to a scope for F-Class, choose one that is reliable, repeatable, optically adequate, and which has sufficient internal elevation adjustment to shoot the required distances. The scale on the turret should be the least of your worries, BY FAR. Keep a notebook handy, or tape a card to your stock with the requisite 'come ups' written on it.

F-Class doesn't require that you move quickly, except to get in line if a lunch is included after the match.

hello there, I know Leupold cost you more, but the lifetime warranty, clarity of there optics and their, reliability) puts them at the top of the list. I own many Leupold scopes and can say in 35 years of using them, they will not let you down in performance or reliability. good luck. Duke
