Help with Remington 40-X Stock

I recently acquired a nice Remington 40-XB and was hoping to get some information about who might have made the stock and butt plate assembly as I would like to get a hooked butt plate for it. The original owner is not available to answer questions due to health reasons, so any information is appreciated. Some addition information: the serial number is in the 400xx range, there is no safety, the trigger pull is in the 2-4 oz range and the barrel date code is not visible (I haven't removed the stock yet to see if it's just hidden).
Thanks, Steve

Doesn't look like the Remington stock sold as International 40X (rimfire or Centerfire) as they were laminated. However single shot actions put in ths-l1600.jpgese usually had a 2 oz trigger of Hart design. The trigger was mounted on a hanger that allowed some adjustment to the front or rear and had no safety. The buttplate and handstop assembly looks different than the canjar/dunlap ones used on the early Internationals.
