Help With Moving From 6BR to Dasher?

I'm shooting in 600 and 300 yard matches, and began four years ago with a Savage F Class in 6BR. I have a Criterion 6BR barrel, but currently have been shooting a Criterion 6.5X47.

I'm pleased with the 6.5 format, but would like to be able to try the 6mm with the Dasher cartridge.

My question is: where could I find a reamer that my gunsmith could use to convert my current 6BR Criterion barrel to the Dasher chamber? I know that some reamers are available for rental, or would I need to buy a reamer?

Is the criterion barrel new or used? You could always sell and buy a new criterion in a 6mm dasher

If used how many rounds down it

Thanks for the feedback....I've talked to my gunsmith, and am shipping him my barrel tomorrow. He's going to re-chamber it for me.

I've got 200 Lapua 6BR cases that have been fired a half dozen time, and not annealed. Is there a problem with using them to fireform my 6 Dasher cases, or should I get 100 pieces of new brass? I plan to use my expander die with a .264 expander, and then partially neck size back down to 6mm.

Am I correct that the BR gauge that I use for my 6BR barrel will also work when I install my "new" 6 Dasher barrel on my Savage?

You can use the BR brass but I suggest annealing them first.
No you can not use a BR headspace gauge to headspace your dasher

You will need a 6dasher headspace gauge.
