Help with a new Dust Ruffle

I don't know if this is the right forum or not...

I did a search on dust ruffles and did not turn up anything...

The new dust ruffle I am sewing does not look just right....

Boys, I bought a new gun from EL Roho in TN yesterday. Going to pick it up Sunday.. Speedy built, 8.5 MF BAT, Speedy F-Class stock, 6.5-284 Brought on with 350 rounds down the tube.

I need this gun like I need another hole in my head. Please someone help me stop buying guns... Any suggestions on support groups..
I know some of you have the same problem...

Are you married? If yes, you could make sure that she has the veto rights on your purchases. Just destroy all of your credit cards, take your name off the checking, savings and investment accounts and be sure that you get about $10 a week allowance. No problems..... :) JimDee

This thread is worthless without pics!!!! :D

Chuck, you and I suffer from the same disease. I actually bought another BR rifle myself yesterday, so you are not alone...

I'm going up to Tullahoma Sunday to pick it up.

Once again I will try to post a pic, Mr. Moderator, Jason, everyone on this forum has tried to teach me how to post pictures. For some reason, I still cannot do it.

There are a lot worse things that you can spend your money on. I have two 6.5's on two different rifles, now I have three. I might make a 6 x 47 out of this new one when the barrel heads South.

Chuck

Guns keep their value so much better than other stuff, like women's shoes! If I had spent my money on some guns that I thought were too expensive I would be much better off, at least in net worth.

Guns as an investment. My CPA will love it.

Boys, were are all going to go sometime, we better cut hay while we can.

I just got back from picking up the new stick, it is so beautiful..

You are going to love it!!!!
1.25 straight pipe,Ian Robertson's F-Class stock,Bat 8.5 Multi-Flat, Kelby high polished rings, 42XNSX

Does it look similar to mine??? :D ,click on the pic to enlarge it)

Actually, that rifle as it sits, is no more. It is currently apart - the stock is at the painter and the barreled action is on its way to Speedy to be rechambered to 6.5x47 Lapua.

Mark,
It looks exactly like yours, who is painting your stock?

Chuck

Chuck,

Sweet, now get those pics up damnit!! Looks like the only spec difference between ours is the BAT on yours vs the F-Class Panda on mine. Mine is also a 30" straight 1.25 Krieger.

Michael Kavanaugh is who is painting the stock up for me. Based on his previous work, I can hardly wait to get her back and put back together!!

Now, did I mention to hurry up with those pics!! :D

Texas Ranger,

Kav is the best stock painter there is....

I am still having trouble posting pics. I am going to talk to the IT people in the am...

Chuck,

There are two ways to upload a picture, assuming you've got it on the hard-drive).

1. At the bottom of the frame that comes up when you make a post, it shows "Manage Attachments". Click that, and select "Choose" to find the picture on your hard-drive. There is a max file size of 151 kb.

This will upload the picture, plus create a thumbnail that will appear in your post.

----------------

OR...

2. Go to www.tinypic.com . Select "Upload Image". Click "choose" and then locate the image on your hard-drive. When you see the file path in the window, click "Upload Image".

It should then say "Image Successfully Hosted"

Copy and past the middle line of coded text. It should begin with

Paste that line in your message.

If you use method TWO it's best to keep the file to a max 450 pixels wide. That helps people who don't use the full-screen version of the forum.

Yep, good-looking rifle. Chuck, congrats on joining the 21st century of picture uploading.

Re the load bench. I thought I was a stud with two of those multi-drawer units filled with various goodies, bushings, comparator inserts, allen wrenches), but it looks like Chuck has me beat by far.

Texasranger,
I still cant post a good pic..

What is your Kav stock going to look like?

Chuck

Nothing wrong with those pics :D I do better when I take pics outside at the range - better lighting I think.

He is using a Crimson color with a waterspot pattern. In discussing it with him, which by the way he has been absolutely great to work with on this, he felt the stock itself limits any graphics, too many angles, the moving cheekpiece, etc. so a marble or spot pattern would be better. I told him he has creative license as he sees fit. Never hem in a true artist.... Hopefully, it will be done around Oct 1 and I will be back to shooting her by the time it cools down here in Houston.
