Help pls! 6x284 55gr bullet

Hodgdon site didn't have what I was looking for. I've been using 4831SC for 66 and 70 grain bullets with good success. Want to load a 55 grain for varmint. Tried H4831SC with the 55gr it seemed a little slow. Suggestions?? Don't need book loads, just a safe starting point. H4350 maybe? Definitely open to suggestions. Thanks in advance. -Wally

RL 19 57.0 70 gr MK
H 414 51.5 70 gr MK
H 4350 56.5 70 gr Nosler 3900 (book)
13 twist barrel.

Unfortunately I don't have Quickload. There have been other times that I wished I did. I will have to get it coming.

I'm pretty sure Dave uses 55.5gr of N550 in his. Another buddy used IMR 4350 in his. What twist is your barrel?

6-284 using necked down 6.5-284 lapua brass. Rechambered 24" Rem 243 takeoff. Nosler 55 gr ballistic tips. Fed 210 match:

Varget:

49 gr 3854
50 gr 3975
51 gr 4050
52 gr 4085
52.5 gr 4150
53 gr 4178 Very accurate with low ES

shot well over 100 rnds with the 53 gr load with no issues. Please work up carefully in your rifle.

Amazing devastation to small rodents.

Those velocities are pretty impressive. I may have to give the Varget a chance. Hope I can find the accuracy as well.

A guy I know uses IMR4530 to get 4400fps. You've got the right twist to get the speed.
