Is anyone using or have used the vortex crossfire 6-18x44 Or a swift 6-18x44 ? How do thay compare? We have determined the nikko targetmaster is junk from what most on here say. Thinking of just saying the heck with it and putting swfa fixed 20 power on my guns . I only target shoot at 200 yards but not having much room on my budget because i will be buying glass for 2 guns and having my barrel work done.

The best low priced scopes I own are Weaver 36X. At about $400.00 they are great for Benchrest.

+1. And, in my experience, Weaver has very good customer service if you need it. WD

36x seems like a lot for 100 - 200 yards .but the highest power iv ever had was a 18x

Check the IBS and NBRSA short range match equipment list, you will find plenty.

I have the Crossfire II 6-18X44 on a custom 300WSM Savage Striker. I put it on just so I could shoot the pistol and the plan was to replace it as soon as I could afford a Sightron, in fact my expectations were very low to begin with. But this cheep little scope actually surprised me and I'm a optics snob. It has been on a 300WSM pistol for over a year with no issue for durability. The scope is useless past 400 yards and the light transfer isn't going to make me replace any of my Swarovski's, but for range shooting out to 300 yards it works pretty good. In it's power range I consider it to be the best scope you can buy for under $300 and this one will end up on one of my daughter's 22's
