Help identifying old Mannlicher

Hello:

I recently bought a Mannlicher sporter 6.5x53r (aka .256 Mannlicher) that took a big hit in transit. I want to get a firm ID on which model of Mannlicher this is. The left side of the receiver says Steyr 1914. There is a crown over the chamber and "1893".

I would be appreciative if anyone could tell me exactly which variant of Mannlicher this is (Ive been told 2 different countries so far). Would anyone know which military stock might fit it?

Thanks

Jim Bradley

Call Liberty Tree Collectors, They may be able to help you find one, Or Sarco may have one "Buried Deep In The Wharehouse" as they say. Chollie probably knows the pile it's in!

If that doesn't work, Find a good Gunsmith that does well with wood and have it repaired.

Give this guy a call. He'll ask for pictures. Check out his YouTube videos.
